Five on Friday: What is New

Um Hi Friday? Nice of me to finally join the blogging world this week huh? This week two weeks has just seriously flown by me. This girl turned 23 last Sunday, sigh. I actually bought something for the aging of my face this week...that is how old I feel. I know I am completely over exaggerating, but oh well Taylor Swift didn't write a song about 23 for a reason...
( THERE.IS.NOTHING.SPECIAL.ABOUT.IT)

Five on Friday:
What is new

{one}
I had special guests two weekends ago (I think I shared this?)
Josh's parents were in town.
I can't even explain how nice it was to see people from home.
We ate, drank, toured Maker's Mark, and even did a little shoe shopping.

{two}
Since it was my Birthday Week...
 I took
bubble baths,
drug Josh around the mall,
AND
received some rocking gifts!
If anyone is interested in the things I
received let me know. I'm not one to brag, BUT

This beauty might be mine now!
{three}
I haven't really shared much about my job situation
since it isn't exciting, but
I did just score a position that
is a step closer in the right direction...
so I am trying to be positive about it.

{four}
I got a TATTOO!!!!
Blahhhh I don't even know what else
to say about this besides I am insanely excited
for this little addition to the bod!

I know what you are thinking!
Who did your nail polish?
I'm blaming Josh!
I fully plan on doing an entire post about this bad boy!
So just look out for much more on the
Why I got it? When? Who got it for me?
and the meaning of it!

{five}
Josh and I took a VERY impromptu trip to
Nashville this Wednesday.
AND
I decided I need to live there now.

I was seriously so dang excited I couldn't
get a non-blurry picture...opps!

Well that's all folks! I have a full line up of posts for next week,
so it looks like I might be joining this blogging world for a little...again!

Five On Friday: Rotten Ecard

Well hello Friday! This week has gone by so quickly and I work all weekend so today isn't as special to me as it is to you, but oh well! I lacked an idea for todays Five on Friday so I thought I would just catch you up on my life via Rotten Ecards...who doesn't love those right?
I've been collecting some of these that describe my life recently!
{one}
This is the life I live every single day. I love couples that can
go unplugged to spend time together, but I love
makeup videos on youtube and Josh loves car websites
to much to unplug for each other, ha!

{two}
I like to refer to it as Youth Alzheimer's!
I have no memory guys...like none.
Just the other day I walked around the parking lot at my work
multiple times looking for my car? Like What?

{three}
I have a confession guys...
On facebook when a large website posts a controversial
picture or status, I like to go through and read all the fights people have on it!
I don't know why, but I love to see people fighting over stupid stuff.
The insults like, "it's you're not your!" and "You're ugly!" never ever get old to me!

{four}
I have been hearing, "Nothing tastes as good as skinny feels." FOREVER.
AND
I hate it!
I'm sure skinny feels great, but I don't know that feeling
so I'm gunna have that piece of cake.
Josh and I have really been trying to eat healthier, but I still can't stand this.

{five}
I am sure you guys have noticed I am horrible at spelling and grammar...
I don't know what to say about this?
I try to go back and edit...sometimes.
Let's just go with I reinvent the english language.

Happy Friday Day Guys! Have an awesome weekend!
 Link up with these lovely ladies!

Five On Friday: Brad Paisley

I'm afraid I'm doing TO many link ups, but I just can't resist! If you are hating my linkup craze let a girl know! Until then though I'm linking up with these lovely ladies...

Did you ever have such a good weekend that you forgot about it?...Yeah probably not. I don't know what my issue was this week, but I basically had a kick ass weekend and didn't share a word of it. Last Friday I met some co-workers for some late night bowling, Saturday we went to dinner with another co-worker then the 4 of us went to the Brad Paisley concert, and Sunday Josh and I got grocery shopping and relaxing done for the week!

I figured for my Five on Friday I would share how amazing the Brad Paisley Concert was...

{one}

I got to spend the night with this wonderful dude (and I'm not talking about Brad Paisley)!
Guys he even wore a camo hat and his old boots!
He was looking so cute!

{two}

For a second I thought Carrie Underwood showed up.
Stupid technology today! That just made me sound old.

{three}

We had pretty sweet seats!

{four}

Besides the amazing Brad Paisley we also saw the amazing Chris Young.
Both of them were incredible!

{five}

This was more than a concert it was an entire show. Brad was so funny though whole time, so energized (and I've seen MANY concerts, he was insane!), and just awesome to his fans. Not only did he give his guitar to a kid in the audience, have two stages so he could be close to his fans in the back too, but he also pulled a kid that was having his birthday at the concert on stage to play with him.

Been to any great concerts lately?

Five on Friday: What I've Been Up To

Linking up again with...

So go ahead and check these lovely ladies up and browse around to meet some new bloggy friends! This week I thought I would share 5 things I've been up to these days.

{one}
Urban Decay Naked Palette 1
I just bought myself this bad boy with some gift cards and Christmas money, because it was $52 and I'm not cool with that.
I am pretty much obsessed with it so far.
BUT I need MAJOR help. Guys I suck at makeup (like a clown look alike).

{two}
Chain Letter
Not in the sending spam to my email/phone way, but the new book way.
I am a HUGE reader. Lately I haven't had time to read, but my mom got me a new book for Christmas and I can't put it down.
{Interested in it? Check out click HERE}

{three}
Blogging
Lately I've been all like...
I've not only been into my blog, but I have really loved finding new blogs.
If you look on the left hand side of my blog, you'll see I've added some new fav bloggers.
Check them all out they are each amazing!
I also made a list the size of my house of blogs I've come across in the last two weeks that I LOVE and want to follow more closely!

{four}
Shooting Range
Guys watch out I have become a total badass in the past two weeks.
Josh got a new handgun for Christmas and I've been going to the range with him to shoot it.
This awkward, clumsy, crazy girl knows how to shoot a gun (the world will never be the same again.)
In all seriousness though I thought it was a good skill to know.

{five}
Finding a Big Girl Job
Since I graduated I've been doing a little bit of this...
And then a little bit of crying!
BUT this week I had a break through.
I'm superstitious and don't want to talk about it to much, but I may have gotten a call about an interview.

What is new in the lives of my favorite people?

Five On Friday: Steps to Fulfilling New Year's Resolutions

I noticed a few "not surprising" things happening on Facebook or Social Media in general this week...

The first  is that people are posting their New Year's Resolutions (Just like I did on Monday) and the second is that people are bashing New Year's Resolutions. Shock right? People being negative.

The second really made me think...are these resolutions pointless? The comments go something like this, "You should be a better person everyday not just at the start of the New Year.", or "It is just another day nothing will change." Well guys I didn't feel that way when I made my vow on Monday to change the things I hated about my life. Yes I should have done the things on my list long ago and yes Wednesday was just another day, but you have to start somewhere. If people need the motivation of a New Year to finally get healthy or pick up a hobby then more power to them! I have felt great and more motivated  than I ever have since the start of this "New Year."

I would like to hope this motivation will last the entire year and I get everything on my list knocked out, but hey if I don't and I fall off the bandwagon a time or two at least I'm trying!

Now that I have broken my resolution to complain less let's get back to the regularly scheduled program...

Five on Friday: Fulfilling My New Year's Resolutions:

{all pictures via personal photos}

1. Step 1:
Buy a planner and possibly cute pens (if you must like I did!)
It always helps me to write down what I need to get done each day so I know I am achieving the things I need to be achieving. No I didn't write down in my planner "Don't complain today!", but I did schedule out time to work out next week and my goals for each day to get done.

2. Step 2:
This sounds crazy and simple, but actually do the things on your list each day. If you don't get to check off everything on your list for that day don't just give up rewrite it on another day until it get's done.
Today my list included:
~Sending an email to a friend I've been meaning to send
~Cleaning my house
~Blogging
~Taking down my Christmas decorations
~and laundry
I didn't get all my Christmas decorations down and put away so rather than getting frustrated I just moved it to both Saturday and Sunday when I know I have more time.

3. Step 3:
Set achievable goals. I've decided that on every Thursday when my schedule for the next week gets sent out that I would plan the following week according to which days I work more and which I work less.

One of my resolutions was to have more drive. That is going to include finding a big girl job. Next week for example I set a number of jobs I want to apply to each day according to how many hours I worked that day. If I have off those are the days I plan on applying to the most jobs. Breaking it down this way will keep me on track and feeling like these are achievable resolutions.
Sorry this is sideways :/
Laziness.

4. Step 4:
Make sure you leave time for fun. Luckily for me one of my resolutions was to live a little, but if you didn't set that goal make sure you don't spend every second of your life getting healthy, being a better friend, and getting organized. Take some cheat days and relax for a minute.

I am on track to starting a new life here in Kentucky with the boyfriend. Next Friday we have a triple dinner date planned and Saturday we are going to a Brad Paisley Concert with some friends from work! We are also talking about having a get together at our house with a fun theme every month (How fun right!).

5. Step 5:
Never give up! Even if you skip going to the gym for a month get back to it eventually. These resolutions are your 2014 resolutions not just January. I wrote motivational quotes throughout my planner so as I get to those pages if I have fallen off track they will remind me that I set those resolutions for a reason.

Any tips for me to keep at my resolutions? How are you guys doing on yours?

This post was linked to the following lovely ladies! Please check them out!

Five On Friday: The Faces of Josh

By the time you are reading this, my boyfriend is likely to have killed me for posting what I'm about to post, BUT Joshua has the worlds best facial expressions so it's a risk I'm willing to take. The world needs to see them and I'm your girl.

Josh is probably the goofiest person I've ever met, he sings (making up words if he doesn't no them), dances ALL THE TIME (even if our windows are open), and his facial expressions take the cake.

1. The Excited-

This face is given when a car, food, or electronic are involved!

Electronic.

Car.

Food.

Electronic.

2. The Sleepy-

This is my favorite face! Josh wakes up like the HULK until he gets his coffee so his sleepy face is a mix of anger and pure exhaustion.

This one might have an update where I take it off, because he will hate me.

3. The Silly aka The tongue-

This face is strictly meant for photo taking. The minute we get in front of a camera his face is distorted into the goofiest face he can make, which is normally tongue out.

Tongue 1.

Tongue 2.

Tongue 3.

Tongue 4.
4. The I look goooood-

What Josh thinks he is lookin' finnnne that day.

5. The Beer-

This is the face that is beyond the smile or the excited. It is his beer face. The kid is like a kid in a candy store excited.

What does your boyfriend do that makes you laugh?

1.Chocolate Cheesecake Candy Cane Bar

2. Chocolate Candy Cane Cookie

3. Sugar Cookie

4. Gingerbread Cookie

5. Eggnog Cutout

What are your favorite holiday cookies? Are you as bad a baker as me?

Five on Friday: Etsy Finds

Christmas is just around the corner people!!!! I have been making list after list of things I could possibly get my loved ones. Of course that means hitting up Etsy. This is by no means a Christmas post (since I have an entire 7 days dedicated to Christmas in the very near future), but you could use this Five on Friday: Etsy Finds as a gift guide.

I hit up Etsy at least once a day 10 times a day.

1. BagyBags-
I found BagyBags through a fellow blogger and have been obsessed ever since. Check out some of these amazing bags...

These are all roughly $96!

2. The SeaSide Sparrow-
I can't even tell you how I found these bows, but I am so glad I found it.
How cute are those bows and those boxes!!! These sets are $11!

3. Crave Jewels
I found iCraveJewels through a blogger that was hosting a giveaway (I never wins those dang things!). These are homemade pieces and the Etsy seller takes the most adorable pictures of the pieces.
I will admit that these pieces are pricey. You can check them out yourself and see if you agree with the pricing. I hope to have a piece one day, but it won't be anytime soon.

4. Beatrice Lane Designs
These are adorable prints! I have spent lots of time looking at these prints since I am decorating my new rental house.
These are both only $10. They do a lot of religious pieces, but some that are just plan adorable (like these two).

5. Chicken Tattoo
The only reason I am sharing this etsy dealer is her duffel bags are so reasonable priced. I have always loved Vera Bradley's Jumbo duffel bags, but they are roughly $80 (come on now who is going to spend that!) These tote bags are only $26. They have cute patterns and can be monogramed (which we all no is my obsession).

And we haven't even talked about the name of the etsy dealer-Chicken Tattoo? I love it!

What are your favorite Etsy Dealers? Are you as obsessed with Etsy as me?
