Thanksgiving Recap and Wine Tasting Party

Youse Guys, You All, or Ya'll depending where in this beautiful United States that you reside, Thanksgiving has come and gone, Black Friday shopping has commenced, and a weekend full of family is coming to an end.

But wait, wait, wait first let me share with you the most amazing Thanksgiving! We don't do a formal meal, there are no obnoxious table settings with seating cards, and we don't dress up. I wouldn't change a single thing about how my family does Thanksgiving though (nor would I judge you for how your family participates in the festivities). I will tell you one thing though there is a lot of delicious food, lots of family, and the occasional turkey coma napping.

See for yourself...

The turkey plate was set...

The table was set...

I snapped a new photo of my parents newly remodeled kitchen

And of my mom delicious oyster stuffing

I couldn't forget to get that amazing turkey. Mom my is cooking cocky and she deserves to be, he Thanksgiving is always so perfect.

The food was placed for a table of 3.

Dad carved the turkey!

We sat down to the most amazing meal by my cocky cooker, then I headed to my brothers house to see my most favorite nieces and nephew.

Auntie Ang was a happy camper getting to hang out with her babies that are growing up way to quickly!

My time spent with them was precious and I was so thankful that I got to see them. The next day we woke up early and headed out for some serious Black Friday shopping. I have no pictures to share, but I am hoping to share what gifts I gave this year after the holidays!

My mother decided to host a cookie exchange this year in the holiday spirit and since we love wine so much she added a wine tasting too! This took place at our house yesterday and was an absolute blast.

Rules:
-Bring 3 cookies per person invited (ex. If there are 30 people you need to bring 90 cookies)
-Eat lots of cookies (and take some home! You got 3 from each person you better take some home!)
-If you have kids and want to leave after the cookies it's cool we understood
-Bring a bottle of your favorite wine
-Drink lots of wine!
-LAST, but more important BE MERRY!

Yeah it wasn't rocket science! Now drool over these pictures...

I didn't take many pictures, but my mom bought these little holiday themed wine tasting glasses as favors and to use during the wine tasting. This little guy was my favorite!

We also played a few games. The first took place during the wine tasting. We all rated each others vines and the highest rated wine won. It ended up being Momma Greenplate's spice warm wine. The second game came from guessing the amount of corks below!

A poor picture of the cookies, but we started to eat them already!

Some of the wines! I definitely enjoyed them all.

I hope you all had an amazing Thanksgiving! I know I have really enjoyed my time home and will miss my family when I leave on Tuesday.

What did you do for the Holiday? Black Friday? And this weekend?
