Walking Down The Aisle

Once again I have to state the fact that I am not engaged and will not be engaged for a VERY long time. It's just not the time for Joshua and I yet. This doesn't stop me from being obsessed with all things wedding though. I have recently been reading a lot about the big debate of what people walk down the aisle too.

There is the obvious Wedding March (As much as I love everything about a super traditional wedding I just can't seeing myself walking to this)

{Wedding March by Richard Wagner}

But I have NEVER had a doubt in my mind that I wanted to walk to something upbeat. WHY NOT? The only thing I would be nervous about is as I'm walking down the isle I would start rocking out (and I take the ceremony very seriously in every wedding). Now let's be serious I don't want to walk down the isle too AC/DC or something none wedding related...cue my favorite song to dance too currently: (pre-warning this is super offensive)

{Gas Pedal by Sage The Gemini}

I was thinking something more along the lines of one of these...

{White Dress by Ben Rector}
How romantic does this song sound

{Save Me by Goyte}
This is probably my favorite by far for some reason
Some of the more depressing parts would have to be edited out.

{The Verve by Bittersweet Symphony}
I prefer the just the instrumental version of this song. I think it just screams excitement and like something really amazing is about the happen.

{Beautiful Day by U2}
And lastly U2...you can't go wrong.

I just want to make a statement walking down that isle and I don't want that statement to be I'm boring. But like I said in the intro a girl can only dream of her "big day." I should have been a wedding planner as much as I love weddings!

What songs did you walk down the isle too? Was it fast or slow?

  2. Just listening to the wedding march song brings a tear to my eye! That will be what I walk down the isle to on our wedding day in 8 months :) I do love however the idea of walking down the aisle to bittersweet symphony! Love that song!

  3. When I walked down the aisle I wanted something different too but wasn't sure what it would be. The husband and I really love "Samuel's Song" from Legends of the Falls (I am also a tad bit obsessed with Brad). I knew it was the song I had to walk down to when I heard it and cried. If you haven't heard it, here is the clip from the movie.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PB-xPJ1SLTQ
    There was no singing but the string section played it. It was beautiful and I still get goosebumps when I hear it!

    1. I think it's just part of being a girl dreaming about their wedding one day. It annoys my boyfriend, but I've been doing it long before him! Thanks for stopping by! I will follow you back!

  7. Hey! Great blog, i am not married but alot of my friends are and my best friend is hoping to be engaged by the end of the year. I've never been that girl that dreams of her big day, actually I have NO plans for my wedding! lol, no dress ideas..no colors...nothing. I told myself i will let all of that come to me when I am engaged.

    I have no idea what I would walk down the isle to, but i'm sure it will be slow :). Following you on bloglovin now! :)

  9. I think the most important thing is that, when you hear it, you know that it's what you can envision yourself walking down the aisle to. I walked down to the Piano Guy's instrumental version of A Thousand Years by Christina Perri. It was perfect!
